Part of living independently is finding a home for yourself. Needless to say, location is key to your decision-making process. How about living in Pasig City?
Among the cities making a name for themselves as the best places to live in Metro Manila is Pasig City. For the past few years, the city has been gaining attention not just for its new local leaders, but also because of its engaged communities. Since then, everyone’s eyes have been on the city; and more are realizing that Pasig is the rising residential choice for the working class.
Apart from its highly engaged communities and leaders, Pasig City is conveniently located in the middle of three of the busiest business districts in Metro Manila; Ortigas Center, Taguig City, and Makati City. It is one of the best locations to establish yourself and settle in.
Below are eight other convincing reasons why Pasig City is the place to be.

It’s no doubt that a lot of Filipinos continue to struggle amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, a group of young students started the chain reaction of Community Pantries in the country to provide the necessities needed by those severely affected by the pandemic.
Residents had their fair share of these community pantries in the city to help fellow neighbors and constituents get a little breather by providing the groceries and other necessities they need to help survive the daily struggle.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Pasig City never fails to be one step ahead. Its local government established its centralized contact tracing app called Pasig Pass. With this app, residents can generate their own QR code and show these to the establishments in the city — no more manual health declaration and contact tracing forms. This is a centralized and secure solution for people living in Pasig to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Apart from the Pasig Pass, the city was also recognized for its well-established response to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Our Treatment Strategy, including the establishment of a Covid-19 Referral Center, has certainly strengthened our fight against this virus,” said Mayor Vico Sotto in an interview.
The city is also among the first LGUs in the country which had an approved COVID-19 vaccination plan even before the pilot rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines in the country.

Last February 19, 1945, the American Flag was raised on the top of the tower, signifying the Liberation Day of Pasig City.
