Kathleen Javiniar’s journey in property management started in 2015 when she joined DMCI Homes Property Management Corporation (DPMC) as an Admin Officer. In this role, she honed her skills in streamlining administrative tasks and interdepartmental communication, laying a solid foundation for her future endeavors.
Early Career and Professional Growth
Driven by a thirst for professional growth, Kathleen ventured into property management with other developers, seeking to broaden her industry knowledge and confront new challenges. Reflecting on her experiences, Kathleen shares, “During my time as an Admin Officer at DPMC, I learned a lot from streamlining administrative tasks and improving interdepartmental communication. These experiences improved my organizational and teamwork skills.”
Despite the invaluable experiences gained outside DPMC, Kathleen was drawn back to the company in 2022, enticed by its reputation for innovation and offering a supportive work environment. She elaborates, “I returned to DPMC because of its reputation for professional growth and innovation. I also missed the supportive work culture and wanted to contribute to DPMC’s projects using the skills I had gained from other companies.”
Overcoming Challenges and Embracing Leadership
One of the significant challenges Kathleen faced was the lack of advancement opportunities despite her readiness to progress. Undeterred, she embraced her role, seizing every chance to interact with residents and cultivate her professional growth. Kathleen shares, “I felt ready for advancement but no opportunities were available for me yet. I then took on the role as a Property Manager anyway, embracing opportunities to interact with residents and grow professionally.”

Kathleen’s leadership style is characterized by a solution-oriented approach. She adds, “I believe in encouraging diverse opinions, listening to my team members and residents, and discerning and integrating their valuable insights into our solutions.”
Offering guidance to aspiring female leaders, Kathleen advises, “Remember to know your worth and fight for what you deserve. Embrace your weaknesses and continue to learn. Strive for work-life balance by investing time in your personal well-being, whether through exercise, eating good food, travel or hobbies.”
