#WhatWomenDo: Empowering Young Minds

As DMCI Communities focuses on women in leadership, Daye stands out as a symbol of empowerment, resilience, and the profound impact one woman can have on the lives of those she teaches and the community she calls home.

As a woman deeply committed to her profession, Daye Perado, a Special Education Teacher and resident of Verawood Residences, is not just a professional but also a shining example of an empowered woman. With an unwavering passion for nurturing the growth and development of children, Daye’s journey extends beyond the confines of the classroom, making her a beacon of inspiration within her community.

Passion for Teaching and Personal Growth

From the outset, Daye emphasizes her genuine love for teaching. “Teaching has always been something I enjoy doing. I am fond of seeing kids learn, grow, and discover skills that can help them succeed in life. Even before becoming a mom, these had been my ambition,” she shares. Daye’s commitment extends beyond conventional roles, aiming not only to be an exemplary educator but also a woman dedicated to understanding the unique needs of every child.

Daye identifies honing skills, building confidence, and imparting knowledge and values as crucial goals in her teaching career. She acknowledges that these objectives also pose significant challenges. “Keeping in mind that each individual is unique and special in their own ways eases the obstacles,” Daye remarks. She has learned the importance of patience and preparation, recognizing that a child cannot be forced to learn but can be guided to be ready to blossom and shine when the time is right.

Kindness and Compassion as Universal Virtues

Reflecting on her experiences, Daye underlines the universal applicability of kindness and compassion. “Being kind and compassionate goes a long way. I think these are applicable to every career or path we are taking,” she notes. Understanding and empathizing with others’ perspectives have proven to yield positive outcomes, transcending professional boundaries.

Inspirational in her approach, Daye also imparts timeless wisdom on womanhood. “Be a woman whose joy comes from within and is willing to share it with everyone. Be a woman who is quietly doing things that make herself and others happy without noticing the impact you are having on the community,” she advises.

Verawood Residences: A Community of Empowerment

As a proud resident of Verawood Residences, Daye exemplifies the community’s commitment to empowerment and inclusivity. Her dedication to education and championing a sense of community echoes the values upheld within the walls of Verawood Residences.

In celebration of International Women’s Month, DMCI Communities takes pride in Daye Perado and other women like her, who embody strength, compassion, and resilience. Through their stories and contributions, these leaders continue to inspire and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.
