With this app, residents can generate their own QR code and show these to the establishments in the city -- no more manual health declaration and contact tracing forms. This is a centralized and secure solution for people living in Pasig to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Apart from the Pasig Pass, the city was also recognized for its well-established response to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Our Treatment Strategy, including the establishment of a Covid-19 Referral Center, has certainly strengthened our fight against this virus,” said Mayor Vico Sotto in an interview.

The city is also among the first LGUs in the country which had an approved COVID-19 vaccination plan even before the pilot rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines in the country.

7. Modernity and history unite in Pasig

Despite the continuous development of the city, Pasig’s history and different cultural locations remain strong and sturdy. The Concepcion Mansion, now known as the Pasig City Museum, served as the Japanese’s headquarters in World War II. Last February 19, 1945, the American Flag was raised on the top of the tower, signifying the Liberation Day of Pasig City.

Now, the mansion is refurbished into a museum that houses the city’s history and heritage; where it’s preserved and shared with future generations. Aside from the history, the museum also promotes the city’s art and culture.
