DMCI Homes Action Plan on Flooding at Spring Lane Homes

DMCI Homes is taking immediate steps to address the flooding concerns at Spring Lane Homes in Taguig and is working closely with the Taguig City Government to identify practical solutions.

Based on our assessment, the drainage situation has been affected by developments and changes in the surrounding area over time, as well as the need to improve the maintenance and clearing of portions of the existing drainage system. Changes in road elevations and drainage flows around Spring Lane 1 have also contributed to water backing up from the street inlets toward the community during heavy rainfall.

To help improve drainage flow and address the concerns, DMCI Homes will undertake the following measures:

  • Declog more than 50 meters of the main drainage line, consisting of a 600 mm-diameter reinforced concrete pipe (RCP). The work is targeted for completion within two weeks, weather permitting.
  • Declog the manholes and connected RCP lines at the Spring Lane 1 road intersection.
  • Coordinate with the Taguig City Government to facilitate a meeting with the contractor responsible for the elevated Morning Sun Road, and jointly identify appropriate measures to help address the backflow concern.

DMCI Homes appreciates the active involvement and continued support of the Taguig City Government as we work together to address the drainage concerns and help improve flood mitigation measures for the Spring Lane Homes community.
