Growing up in the Kitchen and his passion for food led this 29- year old chef to build his own brand and put the Philippines in the Michelin map. As the son of one of Philippines’ catering pioneer - Steve Tamayo, Chef Chris began exploring the kitchen at the age of 5, assisting his parents as they prepared for big events. Now, aside from leading Tamayo’s Catering, he ventures on his own - building the future of Filipino cuisine.

Manifesting Big Goals. Right before the pandemic, Chris was admitted to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America where he honed his skills in culinary arts. When he returned in 2020, he found the opportunity to test the market by creating meals, selling them online and donating 100% of the proceeds to charities including computer donation to School for the Deaf and Rise Against Hunger - Philippines.

From a pandemic solution to a startup. The success of Sibol Manila online led him to take a jump and lease out his community’s cafe space to offer elevated comfort food right at their neighborhood. From their signature milk tea, to specialty cakes and home-cooked meals, Torre De Manila residents will surely enjoy home feasts with super valuable price points!
