DMCI Homes’ residents light up the communities with Enchanted Christmas Décor Contest

Now on its third year, the annual Christmas décor and lighting contest is still the most awaited holiday contest by DMCI Homes for its residents.For the recent holiday season, the residents dressed up their communities to follow the theme, ‘Enchanted Christmas’.

DMCI Homes’ community development unit organized the annual Christmas décor and lighting contest to promote engagement among residents by heightening community ties and to serve as a venue for unit owners to show their creative skills and resourcefulness. Residents dressed up their community’s entrance gates, clubhouses, building façade and even lobby areas with decors made from recycled materials and items they already have around the house.

With cash prizes up for grabs and bragging rights until the next competition, the residents pulled out all stops to decorate their communities following the following criteria: 25% for resourcefulness through the use of recycled materials, 25% for arrangement through the creativity of their display and placement of decoration, 15% for adhering to the ‘Enchanted Christmas’ theme, 10% for exhibiting Bayanihan Spirit, and 25%for overall impact, the display’s ability to stand out among other DMCI Homes’ projects.

Palm Grove was declared as the Champion. The community, located in Parañaque City, showed ingenious use of readily available materials to create an awe-inspiring display that truly captured the holiday spirit. Ohana Place bagged 1^st Runner-up by transforming their Polynesian-inspired community into a holiday display straight from a fairy tale. Royal Palm Residences in Taguig City was 2^nd Runner-up and Magnolia Place in Quezon City received a Special Award. Bonifacio Heights, Vista de Lago, Dansalan Gardens, The Redwoods, Accolade Place, Riverfront Residences, East Raya Garden, Cypress Towers, Rosewood Pointe, Mahogany Place 3, Cedar Crest, East Ortigas Mansion, and Mayfield Park Residences each received consolation prizes.
