10 Date Ideas You Should Do If You’re Busy on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s day is just around the corner. Is your schedule preventing you from going on a wonderful time with your date this time of the year? Or maybe your business is keeping you too busy? Take a look at these amazing date ideas that you can do if you still want to find ways to surprise your special someone even for just a while from your busy schedule.

Have a spa day in your condo unit

If you have a bathtub, you can treat your special someone with a relaxing homemade spa day in your condo unit. Light up some candles, use your best therapeutic soaps and oils, throw in some flower petals, play relaxing music, and lay in there until you feel better. It’s a nice way to de-stress from a busy day at work and spend the day of love.

If the tub is big enough and with his/her consent, hop in and enjoy your homemade spa as well. Why not give your special someone a good massage while you’re at it.

Call it a wine night

Setup the mood with a few candles, flowers, classical (or romantic) music, and dim lights. Wear your best suit or dress. Pour red or white wine into your partner’s glass and drink the night away in your condo. Prepare some cheese and cold cuts to go with it, too. You can also share some nice stories about your lives so you can get to know your special someone more. Just make sure you listen to him/her when he/she talks.

Go for a walk in your condo’s park

One of the more romantic Valentine’s day date ideas you can do in your DMCI Homes address is to have a slow, relaxing walk in the park. Most of the DMCI Homes condo units today have parks and walkways integrated into the site’s layout, giving unit owners a nice path to burn some calories or bond with their loved ones. It would also be the best time to talk to your date and know him/her more to build a deeper relationship.

Play board games together

What better way to spend time with your special someone than to play board games together at your DMCI Homes condo. Pick any game from Monopoly, snakes and ladders, or even chess – it’s the perfect way to spend quality time with your date.

Alternatively, you can invite more of your couple friends to play with you because “the more, the merrier.” Sure, it’s not all fancy and romantic, but what matters here is that you spend precious time with your loved one and have fun while you’re at it. Just don’t cheat while playing, okay?

Netflix and chill

Turn on the T.V., grab some popcorn (or have your favorite food delivered), sit on your couch, and binge watch his/her favorite series or movie. And because you can easily choose from the thousands of movies and series on Netflix, it’s an affordable and fast way to spend time with your date. It’s also a good date idea this Valentine’s day if you want to find out what kind of shows he/she wants to watch.

Go for a quick swim in your condo

If you’re planning to go on a beach trip this  Valentine’s day, the Metro Manila traffic might have other ideas. Instead of getting stuck in the “carmageddon” Valentine’s day special, go to your condo’s pool and swim together with your date.

Not only do you avoid getting stuck in traffic, but you also get to swim with your date and get treated to a spectacular view of the city – especially if the pool is on the rooftop. In which case, you’ll have to warm your partner up with a cup of coffee or hot choco and a hot meal after.

Picnic on the rooftop of your condo

Speaking of meals on the rooftop of your condo, why not have a picnic with your date there? It’s cool, windy, and you get a breathtaking view of the city at night. Prepare your date’s favorite food and pair it with good drinks to match the ambiance. You can even wait for the sun to rise or set (and maybe go for that kiss), depending on the time of the day you go on a date. Don’t forget to take pictures of your moments together as the city creates a beautiful backdrop.

Candlelit dinner in your condo unit

Nothing is as romantic as a candlelit dinner. And because most restaurants are jam-packed during Valentine’s day, why don’t you bring your date into your condo and have your own special candlelit dinner there?

It’s bound to be more intimate, romantic, and sweet without the distraction of other people, paying the bill, and having to drive through the massive traffic jam outside. Just make sure you either know how to cook or can have food delivered quickly. It would be better if it was the former.

Make a home-cooked meal

There’s a saying that the quickest way to a person’s heart is through their stomach. Learn how to prepare a dinner date at home or you can do it together. Find out his/her favorite food and wow him/her with how you cook. If all else fails, remember that it’s the effort that counts and that you can always have food delivered to your condo unit, even if it’s Valentine’s day.Photo courtesy of via Pexels.com

Spend quality time together

For some people, it doesn’t matter how you prepare a Valentine’s date. What does matter is that you spend quality time together. Talk to your date, find out how his/her day went, what their dreams are, their life story, and such. Make sure you listen well. Quality time is one of the best things you can give this Valentine’s day if you’re a really busy person.

Again, there’s an old saying that goes “if there’s a will, there’s a way.” So don’t let your schedule get in the way of having a wonderful date with this busy people’s guide to Valentine’s day.
